We have just reorganized a little again, expanding this from a single effort to a number of pages that might be of interest to veterans of all services, and some that may be of interest primarily to a given service...though all visitors  -- including civilians --  are welcome.

We also suggest taking a look at "Minds Only Alert", as it offers some connections/perspective.

                      A Veterans' Benefit                 Marine Birthday Messages                  Veterans Day              Memorial Day            Oath

The Oath taken on entering service in the U.S. Armed Forces, taken “without reservation”:

I do hereby swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

                                               [the newer, current variation on this theme has appended to it “so help me God.”]

The material in this section will be of interest primarily to veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America...and those who care, or have cared, for one or more such individuals.

Veterans number only roughly 7% of the population; about 40% of vets are over 65 years old.  We believe that most of them were not drafted but volunteered: every one of them  -- including a number who were not and may still not be citizens of the U.S.A. --  has taken an Oath, "without reservation" and without time limits, to uphold and defend the Constitution of The United States.

We, as a society, owe a debt to each of these veterans that can never be paid off, as it recurrs with every day of Freedom that we are granted, largely through their endeaavors.  To those whose lives we, as a society, sacrificed, in thier death or other destruction, we owe eternal respect and gratitude: to those who survived despite the destruction, we owe some modicum of Peace. For the most part, these people do not ask  -- or want, let alone expect --  "a full ride"; they absolutely warrant tremendous respect from society at large and from every individual that makes up this society.

From time to time this section may change significantly, probably primarily by expansion; please come back to check now and then,  if just to remind yourself of what is here, even if it has been too long since an update.

We remind visitors of our "For Fun...NOT for sale" page, which may well be of particular interest to veterans.

 +≠&

Taking no ads, the only revenue to keep this site going is out of our own pockets and should arguably
be going to other things, from the few items sometimes in our store, and whatever
donations might be put in the tip jar on our Comment/Support page.

To the extent that you think reasonable

-- and please think for a moment about how long it would take you to put something like this together,
and what it would cost you, in energy and money, to then make it and keep it available on the web --

we ask you consider contributing to our delinquency.

The
(general) PLAN

                Exercise integrity, and encourage others to do so: Support each other, and encourage others to do so;
               Educate ourselves, and encourage others to do so; Use the term Usann, and encourage others to do so;
               Resist tyranny, and encourage others to do so; Exercise authority over officials, and encourage others to do so;

       And take the country back, one day, one moment, at a time.

                 Our goal is to follow the above plan in our lives and our business, thus being a part of returning our country,
                The United States of America, to the Republic it was envisioned and designed to be and The Great Experiment
                    -- the Rule of Law  --  brought to the world by the Founding Fathers.

We ask readers  -- and others --  consider doing likewise.
