This section of the site is intended to provide our daily commentaries, in a form that is relatively easy for the reader to negotiate.  The commentaries are usually keyed to current events, the site purpose being socio-economic-political reform [a mouthful, but how can one be separated from the others?]; do not expect much about what one of the pets or children around here did "today".  We also generally shy from outside links, for what we believe to be good reasons.

First, that content is elsewhere and we hope you've come here to read what we offer, though we do sometimes link to outside content that we think is of particular value, in itself or as it pertains to our own objectives [still, we do not accept ads and have no "partners"]; even so, we prefer that others do their own research, discovering what they will  -- supportive or contradictory --  rather than just taking our word for things or blindly being led along whatever road we might set before them.

Second, we have no control whatsoever over what visitors might be exposed to off-site, while here visitors can be relatively sure of being [relatively] safe.

We've never fully understood the concept of writers expecting their convenience to over-ride that of their audience, as seems the explanation for the typical format of blogs, with the most recent entries being placed before the already existing ones.  It is contrary to the way in which English is normally read: it even makes it slightly more difficult to find a given entry, since our minds are trained to usually go in a particular direction.

So we don't do that here.  We simply separate the entries chronologically, under the headings of "from1perspective" [the current entry]. and "Recent" [covering a few days up to the last two weeks (generally)], and "Archive" [broken generally into Quarters].  Each is organized in chronological order as well.

We hope that makes it easier for readers, and have done so in following one of the "Pearls": "Always try to make it as easy and as pleasant as possible for somebody else to do something nice for you".

Entries first appear in “from1perspective (today)” and are then moved on to “Recent”.  There are times  -- too many, but we do the best we can --  when we only check in, bringing virtually nothing new.  On those occasions, we almost always leave the previous post in place.  When moved to “Recent”, all parts moved go as more or less a unit, each unit separated from others with our logo [+≠&].

After a couple of weeks have accrued to “Recent”, a (generally) 10-day chunk is moved to the “Archive”, organized by calendar quarters [save 2011, which, being little more than the last quarter, is all in one chunk].

Other than the instances of our just checking in, blog entries appear in chronological order in accord with the way English is traditionally read.  This is done for the convenience of the reader(s), as we try to encourage perusal and reference.

It might be helpful to visit other parts of the site, starting with “Purpose”.  As resources permit, we’ll try to get something of a table here to better display, all at one time, the organization of the site.

With that, we wish you enough, in accord with one of the “Pearls”, asking you check out our “Lighter Side”.

September 17, 2011, Constitution Day: we begin another effort at blogging.  Previous efforts have ended unceremoniously for a variety of reasons; for the most part we simply have not found it appropriate to pretend that we had something of significance to say publicly each and every day, too easily then neglecting for too long, distracted by daily life rather than making such an effort a part of daily life.

This process may well be subjected to similar problems but should result in a different end: for this blogging has a new intent added to the old, one of being an exercise in and a marking of self discipline [do not expect perfection; we don't, though we will strive for minimal evidence of our imperfections].  A daily entry is a part of our objective: it may be as brief and seemingly dismissive as " Nothing today", "We, too, sometimes need a break: this is one of ours.", or " Have noted news; gathering thoughts", but we are committed to at least checking in each day, and ask readers consider doing likewise.  [Entries may or may not be keyed to or even linked to other parts of the site, but we will endeavor to minimize choppiness.]

Too often, we may go on too long.  We may try to cover too many bases, resulting momentarily in a light treatment of heavy material, but we believe longer treatments will be available elsewhere on or at least through this site.

One of our objectives is to not waste a visitors' time.  We don't mind even offending folk, if it is all honest and above-board; but we would be disappointed if, having visited, somebody left feeling they'd wasted their time [much as we don't mind somebody leaving our table not being uncomfortably full, but would feel badly if they left hungry despite their efforts to become at least reasonably satisfied].

That will have to do for today: life interrupts.

Addendum, October 4, 2011

Any post more than a week old will be subject to being moved from this page and archived. For the immediate future, the archive will be available on another page on the site.

Addendum, October 6, 2011

We will, from time to time, review and edit for typos et al, so that later readers may not be subjected to them.

Addendum, December 9, 2011

We have reorganized [again] so that the single most recent blog entry is readily available without having to mess with a slide bar much.  Recent entries will go to another page, eventually to archives, though those pages will be as we read, oldest first.  We hope this makes things easier for visitors.

Change is not sufficient; we need improvement.

(general) PLAN

Exercise integrity, and encourage others to do so: Support each other, and encourage others to do so;

Educate ourselves, and encourage others to do so; Use the term Usann, and encourage others to do so;

Resist tyranny, and encourage others to do so; Exercise authority over officials, and encourage others to do so;

And take the country back, one day, one moment, at a time.

Our goal is to follow the above plan in our lives and our business, thus being a part of returning our country, The United States of America, to the Republic it was envisioned and designed to be and The Great Experiment -- the Rule of Law -- brought to the world by the Founding Fathers.

We ask readers -- and others -- consider doing likewise.
